Drew Tarves' music as young friend captures the nostalgia of post-adolescence with raw self-reflection. His debut full-length album, Motorcycle Sound Effects, feels like a messy, sunlit summer night—full of big emotions and moments of vulnerability. A former trained dancer, the 24-year-old Vancouver native shifted to music after jamming with friends. He quickly fell in love with songwriting, experimenting with Garageband to find his unique sound.

After releasing his debut EP HOW DID WE GET HERE? in 2022 and the sophomore scaredy cat in 2023, Tarves toured internationally in 2024 and earned a Juno nomination. Motorcycle Sound Effects, produced by David Marinelli (Wallice, Finneas), blends diverse influences into a genre-bending collection that embraces both the familiar and the new. It’s an album that invites listeners into a journey of self-discovery, full of vibrant energy and emotional depth.
